Happy Father’s Day to a dad who inspires everyone around him, who has been through so much - a near fatal car accident, prostate cancer, a hernia - yet in every moment he remains so serene and positive. He is truly a role model and I am so lucky to have him in my life. He’s been my teacher, and a teacher to so many. The world needs more fathers like him, and I am so happy he has been a father to so many people who have needed the wisdom - his yoga students, his aerospace, physics, and earth science students, his swimming students, and the students he crosses paths with every day. Sadly, I admit that when I was a little girl, I could never stand the long, philosophical answers he’d give me when I’d ask him a simple question. Dad always explains things with a thoughtful, life lesson, a dharma talk. Sound familiar? Yep, I think I’m taking after him. Always daddy’s little girl. Over the years, I’ve realized how genuinely cool he is. And I never wanted to hear about yoga or philosophy from him, I always shut him out because I “never had time” to sit around and listen to the long-winded answers. Now, I appreciate his worldly knowledge, along with his handed-down texts of the Bhagavad Gita, Karma Yoga, and other beautiful yoga books that he and my mom saved from the 1970s. Whenever I am going through a struggle or crossroad, he’ll send me an email with wisdom and inspiration that just hits where I need it. He has always supported me in every decision without judgement. A true yogi.
Happy Father’s Day to a dad that helped me to find my true purpose in life, to be a healer and a yoga teacher, without ever saying it. He never encouraged me along a particular life path, never pushed beliefs or judgement on me. He is loving towards all people, towards each one’s choices and aspirations. I have so much gratitude that my dad is behind me, believing in me as I explore my true calling as a yoga teacher, healer, visionary. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
This awesome picture was taken on my parent’s wedding day. My mom and dad wore pink saris and their wedding party walked barefoot down the aisle, The Buddha in the middle, a Star of David on one side and a Cross on the other.

Join Fern on Saturday, June 1st at Roseland Ballroom for a special Yoga class dedicated to cancer survivors, fighters, and all those who live on in our hearts. At 12:30am, Fern will be teaching a gentle midnight yoga and stretch class at the first Manhattan Relay for Life. After class, we kick off the dance party!

TOGETHER we can say NO, Cancer you will NOT dampen my spirits, you will never invade my soul. Let’s create a world with more birthdays, more memories, more laughter, more love.

When we walk to end cancer at Relay for Life, it’s our opportunity to honor cancer survivors and remember loved ones, get vocal about cancer prevention, and raise money to help fuel the world’s largest walk to end cancer.

Discover your radiant glow through a personalized nutrition and lifestyle plan - I’m here for you!

As an educator of Wellness & Ayurvedic Nutrition, registered Yoga Teacher & crusader for whole-body nourishment, my intention is to give you the tools you need to look and feel your best.

I am thankful for my team of yoga instructors, nutritionists, acupuncturists, chiropractors, and integrative doctors, each who has provided me with knowledge that has revolutionized my lifestyle. After years of struggling with undiagnosed food allergies, digestive issues, an autoimmune thyroid condition, and nutrition deficiencies, I am finally glowing. I would love to help you get your glow, too.

My tools for unlocking your radiant potential include a blend of Ayurvedic education, nutrition inspiration, guided detoxes + courses, and lots of encouragement along every step of your journey. I offer my clients support via email or phone whenever questions or concerns arise as they work to achieve their nutrition and wellness goals.

I believe in order to feel better, you must be better to yourself, you must be aware of your whole self - your body, your mind, your spirituality, and your environment - and how each factor, everything you do and surround yourself with, contributes to your nutritional well being. I do what I do because I am dedicated to getting you results and helping you to live a more radiant and healthy life, and ultimately I aim to create a more healthy global environment.

I believe that it is when we begin to treat food as raw medicine, our kitchen becomes a place to find spiritual and physical balance. Every meal prepared with thought and the goal of nourishment in mind is a quest to achieve whole body wellness, disease prevention, restoration and love. As a global community, we need to eat for healing, eat what fuels our bodies instead of eating things that create inflammation and disease. To do this, on an individual level , we each need to be aware of what foods are toxic to our health, and what are clean, nourishing superfoods. When we are truly aware, we become living medicine. I am here to help you get there, each step along the way.

Welcome!

Inspired by how yoga helped her to become aware of her power and strength as well as find balance in her life, Fern completed the 200-hour teacher training program at Yoga People, becoming a Yoga Alliance-certified Vinyasa Yoga instructor.  She creates classes that challenge the body and the mind, yet are not intimidating, and are accessible to all levels. Fern aims to help others find awareness of their self and help them to overcome challenges they face both on and off the yoga mat. Her approach towards yoga aims to help each and every one of us to be aware of our limitless potential and live the best possible lifestyle. Read Fern’s bio here.
